Because issues of health, healing, and wellness are situated in an environmental context, it is essential that the study of human health be understood within a broad environmental framework.

Environmental Science is the scientific investigation of natural systems including the hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere, ecosystems, and landscapes which sit at the intersection of the Earth and humanity. Earth Science is the application of natural science and mathematics to the study of the planet Earth, its formation, structure, evolution, and geologic hazards.

The Environmental Analysis major focuses on developing critical skills and competencies in interdisciplinary environmental problem-solving. It provides breadth and depth across environmental humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, as well as deep and interdisciplinary training in analysis, problem solving, communication, and community engagement.


Pathfinder Fellows in Environmental Leadership

Pathfinder Fellows in Environmental Leadership is a three-year, interdisciplinary cohort-based undergraduate program integrated around the themes of environmental science, policy, humanities and sustainability that provides the academic rigor and field experience needed to deeply understand, respect and respond to a place and its people in light of environmental challenges.
