The St. Louis region now has a strong foundation for climate action through the East-West Gateway Council of Governments (EWG) Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan, the City of St. Louis Sustainability Plan and Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, St. Louis County 2050: An Equitable and Sustainable Comprehensive Plan, and various localized programs.
The OneSTL Climate Action Summit will convene those working in local governments, businesses, and community-based organizations to discover how we can make our region more sustainable, equitable, and resilient. At the summit, we will move climate action forward by sharing initiatives and strategies already underway and discussing the regional coordination and cross-sector collaboration needed to implement the actions outlined in the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan. These actions will drastically reduce the amount of harmful pollutants in the air, create sustained employment opportunities, and reduce household energy expenditures.
The summit is hosted by OneSTL, a collaboration of organizations and individuals that supports increased sustainability across the eight-county St. Louis region through the sharing of ideas, expertise, and resources.
