Office of Public Scholarship
Develop your science communications skills in this interactive workshop with the Office of Public Scholarship. In this workshop you will be guided through an exercise in which you focus on a single environmental object and then write a very short essay about your topic.
Director of Public Scholarship Christopher Schaberg will offer tips, formal strategies, and prompts for how to write concise prose about your research for general audiences.
This workshop is designed for Graduate students.
The workshop is part of the 2026 Environmental Research & Creativity Week Feb. 23-27, a series of events hosted by the WashU Center for the Environment and its partners to showcase the interdisciplinary environmental work at the university.
