This fireside chat brings together WashU government relations leaders and Bears Caucus students for a nonpartisan conversation about how universities and government partners collaborate on public policy and strategic programs. Students will gain insight into state and local decision-making\, community partnerships\, and where student voices can responsibly engage in local civic life. Designed for students interested in policy\, community impact\, or how state and local governments actually work together.\n\n\n\nThe Gephardt Institute's fifth annual Civic Action Weeks is Feb. 16-27! Across campus\, WashU students\, faculty\, and staff will host more than 20 events — including panels\, film screenings\, arts and crafting\, trivia and Q&A events with St. Louis leaders — to help address and share about the issues they care about\, to spark civic dialogue and inspire civic action. Civic Action Weeks events provide the learning and community building that leads to strategic and sustainable civic engagement. Events are open to the WashU community\, so please share with your students and colleagues.
